Who Are You Edifying?

I’ve worked with some people in the business who are always edifying what they do for a team and what great leaders they are.   And then there is the other type of person…

They are always talking about and edifying the people on their team.  Their joy comes not from being seen as the driving force, but seeing their people as the force.

If there is one thing that can do more for creating breakthroughs in your team it is this.  Because what you do gets duplicated, and each generation is grooming the next generation of leaders.

Yes you can let your team know how many great things you do for them.  Or you can let them know how great they are.

Which type of leader are you?

  1. Greetings Randy,

I for one know full well, you can not be a leader unless when you look back there are people following you.

Having said that the next chapter IS:

The people following you are more important than you are and recognizing them as the next Leaders is the only way you build long term growth in your group.

    BECAUSE:

They as you say will do the same and the progression builds EVERYBODY’S Group which builds success for all.

It is not about me and what I do it is what the TEAM does as a whole.

    That’s TRUE winning!

  2. Being in sales for over 30 years I’ve meet a lot of people who like having their ego’s stroked. That can be with awards, a phone call, etc. It does make people feel good about themselves, although I personally think if people had more self-worth about themselves, they wouldn’t need the stroking, I mean edifying.

In networking marketing, there are mostly people who are coming from a non-business background and need the edifying to give them a “feel good” minute to keep on going.

  3. Hello mr. Randy G. from Greece..I’m good lider and sponsor..I’m like you work to MLM..My work in MLM gives friends for me..health..and many..thank you..

  4. I definitely try to be part of the latter group. I couldn’t even THINK of wanting to be any other way.
If you look at the top people in this profession (or most ANY profession, for that matter), you will almost always hear them say how their success was made possible by the people surrounding them, and rarely, “Yes, I know I’m great, thank you.”
People generally admire modesty and loathe arrogance.

  5. Hi! I am a prospect in the network marketing and I am not much familiar of how it works and goes. Please help Me to know this and how people benefit from this.

    1. Greetings Mwalla,

To give you a focused answer to your question to get you started at least. Network marketing is all about building relationships with those you work with and those that become your customers with the company you choose and the products they offer.
It is important to have a solid company to rely on. One that has a focus to create a representative friendly environment with viable products that can offer a solution for people. It can be in the health and wellness industry or a service industry.
In my opinion You should not have to pay an up front fee just to participate or join as a business builder. Making a reasonable product purchase that YOU will consume each month should be available if you are in the health and wellness industry. In the service industry you should be able to qualify simply by being your own customer and help others to do the same.

This industry offers anyone the opportunity to build a significant income over time.
There is NO GET RICK QUICK opportunity out there so have reasonable expectations on what amount of income you will be able to make in 3, 6 12 months down the road.
Seek out a person that has already become successful to mentor you and help you learn what is important to do, to have success.

Again in my opinion there are NO magic books, tapes, Cd’s or system to buy that will give you instant success, so my advice is the save your money. The right kinds of mentors will help you without you having to spend your money.

Go to the library and read books like “Think and Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill, “The Power of Who” by Bob Beudine” “The Slight Edge” by Jeff Olson just to name a few.
They will help you in developing the right mind set.
Identify a compelling reason WHY you would like to be successful. It will keep you focused on the DOING part of this business even when you may not FEEL like doing it.

If I can help you in any further way please feel free to reach out and contact me.

Remember this is a journey and over time many GREAT things will happen for you and those you help.

It is my hope the above gives you some direction to head in as you seek your place in this industry.

As someone who has been working in this industry since 1996 I can share with you ALL the ups and downs you will go through will be worth it.

      REMEMBER this one following thing:

      NEVER QUIT!!!

  7. Hi Randy,

Any suggestion as to what I should do in case I am not satisfied with the product and with the company I’m currently with? I just found a great product after doing some diligence research and I am just 2 months with my current company.

I will appreciate your suggestion about this dilemma that I am currently in.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Paul

  8. Thanks for pointing that out Randy! Always a good thing to edify up as well as down. After all we are all in a team together. Love this line….:)
