Learning from Winners

So your brother-in-law can explain all the reasons why Network Marketing doesn’t work.  I bet he can explain reasons why a lot of things don’t work.  That’s because he’s a loser.

Has he ever built a large network?  If not, he’s the last person in the world you should be taking advice from.

Just because your Uncle Herb was in Amway for two months doesn’t make him an expert.  And just because your cousins Pookie and Ray-Ray were in Herbalife for two weeks five years ago, doesn’t qualify them to teach you about success.

You don’t need people around you explaining why it won’t work.  You have to be counseling with people that can teach you how it can work.

If you want to fly planes, learn from a flight instructor.  If you want to climb mountains, talk to a mountain climber.  If you want to build a large network with residual income, talk only to someone that has done it successfully.

Want to be rich?  Stop taking advice from broke people!

  1. What I don’t know, that I don’t know! So, have to follow the footsteps of the successful networkers…you’ll reach there automatically.

  2. How true Randy – how true. It’s amazing how people gravite to the ill informed when they are trying to change their lives.

  3. Hi Randy, I am with Uncle Herb, Pookie and Ray Ray in Bozeman, Montana as I read this. This couldn’t have come at a better time. I have learned so much of why network marketing was created by the devil, since I have been here. This is not home home on the range for me. Back to civilization tomorrow, and my fellow network marketers. Thanks for your wisdom and guidance!

  4. How funny! But how true! What a great read for a Monday morning. And no, I’m not at a job. I’m on my laptop in my dining room, having my morning coffee, getting ready to get on the phone and social networking sites. Love Mondays!

  5. This is my first Monday with Mr Gage and associates, and I love it. Thank you all for your comments, especially Mr. Gage. I love a straight shooter and he hit the bull’s eye this morning. I’m a newbie and I am excited to be joining you in the wonderful world of network marketing. I am looking forward to learning from you, so be successful and share with your friends your success and you will be more blessed.

  6. Greetings Randy,

Once again you are hitting the nail on the head.

As I sit in my Home office preparing to contact those on my list it is my hope the people that invest the time to read your posts take it to heart.

So many people miss what they could make their life be, if they followed your given wisdom to hear from, listen to and apply the right information and processes from individuals that ARE creating a success story in this industry.

    It is a simple formula:

Success = surrounding yourself with those that are successful

Failure = surrounding yourself with those that give you all the reasons you will not be successful.

Every successful person will share with you how they did experience failure but went ahead anyway until to did accomplish what they set out to do.

Find Others Who Are Strong Where You Are Weak and Work Together as a Team.

Go with the above and success will follow.

  7. Randy, that’s awesome! I’m in New England, where if you look at the NWM map, only 4% of the business happens. This industry has made such perfect sense to me since I got in over three years ago. I have read over 35 books (including yours) and I am all in! I agree that it is so important to get with the people who are doing it as opposed to the 95% who don’t do anything, but live day to day, buying lottery tickets and complaining. UUUUGH!
    Thanks so much!

    Have a great day!

  8. Hy Randy

To be the best in everything we need to study from these who are the best,
and don’t let these steal dreams to convince us to quit and to be losers, like they are.

  9. What can I say ? Why not take advice from someone actualy climing Mont everst if you are to climb the mountains. Your right

  10. Hi Randy,

Amazing! I was just at Brother Herb’s last night with sisters Pookie and Ray-Ray. They were saying they were so proud of me for going back to my “J.O.B.” (circumstances of division of property). It made me sick. Now that there is more time for my NWM career I feel like soaring with the eagles again.

Thank you for your great words of wisdom.

  11. Here are some statistics that identify a group who likely will not achieve success in this industry and are best friends of cousins Pookie and Ray-Ray.

    * 58% of the US adult population never reads another book after high school.
    * 42% of college graduates never read another book.
    * 80% of US families did not buy or read a book last year.
    * 70% of US adults have not been in a bookstore in the last five years.
    * 57% of new books are not read to completion.

Do you like to read? What do you read? When is the last time you read a book cover to cover?

Are you willing to hang out with group of people who read everyday? If reading 10 pages a day doubled your income this year when would you begin?

If I gave you a copy of Think and Grow Rich would you read and discuss each chapter with me?

There is a target market out there…

  12. Great info Randy It makes me think about the fact that most MLMers learn how to stay away from Uncle Herb, cousins Pookie and Ray-Ray . That’s the easy part for most. After the first couple times with them It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out just don’t go near them.

I think the biggest challenge people have is the looser they can’t get away from with out the most effort. That looser is self talk. We all have it and if you don’t you will if you stay in this business long enough to make the big bucks.

It will be a battle most will fight the whole time there in the business and sadly most will loose because like the looser uncle Bill-Bob you have to choose to stay away. You have to choose to read books and train yourself to not listen to the one you can’t run away from yourself talk. The only way to get rid of him is to replace that voice.

  13. How very true. This is really what most of us experience, specially after a few days in the business. But if you dwell with the winners you can never lose! Thanks Randy for making it so clear in our minds.

  14. I am spending time in the Silicon Valley. I have never seen so many Mercedes Benz and Lamborguinis on the road.
I don’t listen to broke people.

  15. Hello Randy,

Do you have a book…or will you have one that has all this wisdom that you’re posting? It would be nice to get one with all of it in one place…you are so right. I never believed people who think MLM doesn’t work. I always looked up to your advice and others that have made it.

Sometimes I see people who have cracked the MLM code and all I can say is what you posted today: Dream Big, Work Hard and Believe. That’s all. They’re no different from any of us other than the fact that they worked to get to where they are today.
