Building with Your Calendar

Want to know the secret weapon of all successful business builders?  Their calendar.

Because your calendar is your game plan, goal sheet, schedule, mindset and a whole bunch of other things rolled into one.

You should be booked out at least 120 days ahead.  You start with your next major event.  Then you back in the local training events and the opportunity meetings.  Then you block off the rest of the exact hours you’ll devote to building the business.  That’s where you meet people, get them to presentations, and follow up.

Show me your calendar and I’ll tell you where you’ll be six months from now.  So fess up…  What does yours look like?

  1. It’s a work in progress. I am adding to it daily, and I love how my Blackberry pops up with each of my daily ‘must do’s” each day. I’m as busy as I want & need right now, so it’s a good picture of who & what I am right now. Always room for improvement, but it matches my availability & commitment right now!

  2. Spot on Randy!

It seems that my calendar is never as full as I would like it to be but I press on.

I am willing to help anyone and everyone that is looking to change their life through this wonderful industry. I am hooked!

    My calendar is ready…

    Thanks again!

  3. Totally agree Randy. It is so clear when you look at someones diary / planner and see where their priorities are. Building your business takes consisent planned effort each day and work towards your goals.

  4. If it is not on my calendar then it is not a priority. My goal is to set three one on ones each week, knowing that one may cancel. Many people say i just don’t have the time to do this business, but the truth is we all have the same amount of time each week, we just choose to fill it in different ways. I choose to do this business on purpose, not by chance. Randy, you are amazing, thanks for keeping us on task!

  5. Hey Randy, Great tip. I utilize my calendar all the time to move towards things in my business and personal life. It helps me break things down to what I need to be doing on a daily basis to get to my goals. Thanks for this different perspective on it.

    Make it a great day!
    God Bless,

  8. Hello Randy,
i am not sure i use my calender at all! Thanks i am going to start using it today. Is a calender a to do list or an appointment list or a goal list? I need to be sure i know the difference!
I got a powerful one from one of your stumble sites(productive flourishing.com) over the weekend and i am going to use it to learn . Thanks again.

  9. This is one of the greatest posts ever. I realy liked what you said abouth that You should be booked out at least 120 days ahead. It makes sense, Show me a dentist or a doctor office or even hairsaloons with a appointmentsbook with no appointments. They would be out of business very fast. And the same rule is there for us. But how many thinks like this ? This could look like a small advice, but still it will makes a massive inpact if you follow this advice. The secret is in the details right ? Thank you

  10. I like my BlackBerry but I use a paper calendar also. That way I can see more at once and I also have a Dream board in it.

If you fail to plan you plan to fail.

Also get in the habit of NEVER canceling a appointment.

  13. I never thought about that. Start with the next Big Major Event of the year, and work your goals and team goals in your calendar towards it as you do your shows, in home meetings, signing up new people and building up your team, towards that Big Event!

Then continue your calendar to your next Big Major Event!

    Genius!

yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the
web will be much more useful than ever before.
