The MLM Creed

I believe in creeds.  They quantify things and give us a guideline for our actions.  And our business is no exception.  Here are my thoughts on a creed for Network Marketing.

I accept that I have a responsibility to everyone I sponsor.  I am responsible TO them, but not responsible FOR them.  I will support, train and teach them, understanding that the best support I can give them in learning how to operate efficiently on their own.  My job is to work myself out of a job.

I am a professional.  I will conduct my business with integrity and always work for the good of the entire profession.  A rising tide raises all ships, so I celebrate the success of all companies and distributors in the business.  Together we raise the standards of all business and make the world a better place for those seeking growth, success and prosperity.

What are your thoughts on a creed?

  1. Very Appropriate, Randy. I believe in Creeds, in raising the Bar, in believing in people so that they will choose to implement their talents & ability to allow them selves to grow in all aspects of this journey.

  2. My creed:
I have a legitimate and sincere desire to help people. I operate my business with honesty, pride and integrity. I serve my team, by teaching, training and giving them what they need to succeed on their own. I never ask them to do anything I would not or have not done myself. I will always lead by good example. I will always be proud to say. “I Am a Network Marketing Professional”.

  3. This “creed” encapsulate all the core internal beliefs & activities necessary to experience breakthrough successes in our business.

    Simple marvelous Randy.

    I like it.

  5. Surely this is the creed we undertake when we are born, what a shame so many of us are shown other ways to help ourselves and not care about anyone else!
    Thanks for the reminder Randy,
    Adrian.

  6. In the spirit of a positive affirmation applied to myself:

I am responsible TO everyone I sponsor. I support them when they take action; train them on the system and the principles of network marketing; and teach them how to operate independently, efficiently, and successfully.

I am a professional. I conduct my business with integrity and always work for the good of the entire profession. A rising tide raises all ships, so I celebrate the success of all companies and distributors in the business; making the world a better place for those seeking growth, success and prosperity.

  7. Everyone agrees with you Randy but in your experience how many people REALLY conduct themselves according to that creed? In my opinion, it should be a mandatory contract that everyone has to sign and abide by before they come into our industry.

  10. Thanks Randy. You have put into words what I have been trying to for quite a while now. It has always been my contention that an upline OWES something to their downline business partners. As you put it:
“I accept that I have a responsibility to everyone I sponsor. I am responsible TO them, but not responsible FOR them. I will support, train and teach them, understanding that the best support I can give them in learning how to operate efficiently on their own.”

  11. Randy could you explain please the mean of

“I accept that I have a responsibility to everyone I sponsor. I am responsible TO them, but not responsible FOR them..”

    Thanks

  12. what we do with ourselves ends with us but what we do with others lives on. selfishness kills every trhing it touches (or torches!). Sharing and caring creates a world of endless ladders. You are right RANDY.

  13. A great post.We all need to take this to heart.

Here’s one I came across early in my mlm career.

    “The Possibility Thinkers Creed.”

“When faced with a mountain, I will not quit! I will keep on striving until I climb over, find a pass through, tunnel underneath, or simply stay…and turn the mountain into a miracle with God’s help!”
    – Robert Schuller

  14. By becoming interested in cause of the creed, we are lesslikely to dislike the effect of the creed, that’s lesslikely isn’t it?

  15. Hi Randy!

I completely agree with this creed. This will help a lot of us in conducting our businesses. Everyone should be guided by set of principles and values.
