The Fantastic Four

I always loved comic books and superheroes.   And one of my favorite superhero groups was the Fantastic Four.  And when I think of success in Network Marketing, another fantastic four comes to mind:

Enthusiasm

Activity

Edification

Tools

You need all four.  If you’re not enthusiastic, nothing’s going to happen.

You can be enthusiastic, but if you don’t get off your butt, you’ll raise skinny children.

Be enthusiastic and work hard, but if you don’t edify, it will become about you and you won’t get the duplication you want.  Do the first three things but not use tools to do it, and you still won’t get duplication.  Utilize all four and you’ll crush it.

So how you doing on this?

Honestly rate yourself for the four categories and share your thoughts below.

  1. Interesting……..I sponsored all four of the Fantastic Four!
The first girl signed up and disappeared! The second signed and was gonna burn it up but flamed out after the first “no”. The third signed up and was a rock! He refused to budge and listen and learn. The fourth had a long reach! He had a huge network and was very influential! I like him the best!
Great stuff Gage! Sorry I missed meeting you in Houston. Heard you crushed it!

    1. Marita, the simplest way that I can describe edification is to “talk someone or something UP.”

So for example, “My business partner is experienced in this business and has had great success in developing leaders” is edification of your upline. You are edifying (talking up) that person and therefore the person you are prospecting has a better image of them prior to meeting them.

You can also edify your system. “Our business system has worked particularly well for people like you who are extremely busy. Let me show you how it works.”
So anything you talk up and put in a better light for your prospect or team members is edification.

Randy’s books and audio’s go into much more detail on this, but I hope that helps.

  2. Randy, I love this viewpoint, and not only because I was a rabid collector of the Fantastic Four (even more the X-Men!) but see these four qualities as vital ingredients in building our MLM business.

My personal pitfall is activity. I am hugely enthusiastic in regards to my company and the industry, pride myself on being pretty good with edification, and definitley am a big believer in using tools. So I have to work on more consistent and effective business building activity, which is my focus from hereon in.

The one I can see many people struggling with is ‘edification’. I just see too many people having the “who cares about WE, this is about ME attitude!”

They cringe even thinking about talking up someone else with great qualities; they want the plaudits to all fall to them. They love to hear their own voice on every webcast and conference call, and believe that every event should be organized by them and of course, hosted by them.

Because they don’t utilise the art of edification, they find themselves without any duplication in their business and are out there acting as Mr or Mrs Fantastic.

It’s vital to remember that it’s incredible what can be achieved when you don’t worry about who gets the credit. Edification goes a long way into achieving just that.

  3. Nice post. I am going to throw a spanner in the works here and say that I dont’ think all of these strategies are necessary. If you deal with a great product it should sell itself without all the tricks and gimmicks.

  4. Hi Randy,

We are so privileged to be receiving your post/blog coaching , email or whatever from you. Thanks for not crossing me off you list although we are in different companies. Saw you on you-tube and enjoyed watching.

Ok, for now, have a bit of distraction as my French friend Colette is my house guest for a couple of days. Will be meeting a new prospect tomorrow and have asked my Diamond upline to join me again. Yes, will be contacting Prime Concepts Group for my next order. .

Defintely I will work hard on all your 4 points, whatever it takes – as if my whole life depends on it. Thanks vm

  5. Hey Randy’

I say, there are three components that help everyone to be successful in his life and MLM. These personal qualities are: Enthusiasm, belief in oneself, persistence. The one who has these three will get every goal in his life.
Nothing will stop himWhen someone has these three component, he will have the motivation to take Action and he will get the Toots and the Edification.
“Where there’s a will there’s a way” When a person really wants to do something and has the Enthusiasm, he will find a way of doing it.

  6. Can I simply say what a relief to search out somebody who actually is aware of what theyre talking about on the internet. You positively know find out how to deliver an issue to light and make it important. More folks must read this and perceive this side of the story. I cant believe youre not more common since you definitely have the gift.
