What Freedom Really Means
I was counseling with one of my leaders recently and the conversation turned quite interesting. That was when I suggested that I didn’t want her to leave her job. Ever.
“But I thought you hated jobs,” she said.
“I do.”
“You always said you want me to be free.”
“I do.”
“So why don’t you want me to be free?”
And what I told her, I would tell some of you. And that is that I want you to get the money thing out of the way. To get free. And with that freedom to keep doing your job.
Because it’s an important one. One that is an integral part of who you are. Because some of you are caregivers, guidance counselors, or schoolteachers. People doing amazing work that makes a difference.
Truth is, I’ve been free for a long time. But I never quit my “day job,” which is teaching the principles of prosperity. And I never will. Network Marketing gives me the freedom to do that, and that means everything to me.
Now some of you are in dead end jobs and freedom is going to mean being able to fire your boss. Good for you. But for some of you, freedom is going to mean being able to continue doing the work you love, just being able to take the financial pressure out of the equation. Either way you win.

Yes, I also think this is very important because on the other hand if everybody would be a leader in network marketing this world would stuck.

Thank you, Randy! This is exactly the reason I started with Network Marketing: I want to create financial freedom to do the job that I love and do it in the way I want it to be done!
For example, in the last three years I was at a company where the CEO trusted me and gave me the possibility to implement the project according to my vision, as we have been very well on the way, the management has changed and just like that the work of two years and of a number of people has been dismantled! No questions asked. I have seen this happening time and again, and I have enough of it.

FINALLY,This is the link I have been missing. I heard you say and most leaders in NM that if I don’t become financial independent meaning making $10,000 or more in NM,I am a loser.
This is maturity and this what I need it to hear in order to built my business since what I love to do is study is World Social History.

For those that have a day job that provides little value toward making a direct impact on society, it’s great to know that network marketing is a profession that one can get free to pursue full time.

I have worked in human services for years and the stress that accompanies many of these jobs is tremendous. Caregivers and workers directly responsible for providing services are under more & more pressure to do more with less as budgets and funding continue to tighten.
People who provide services like these need to have time to decompress from time to time or they burn out. This can lead to unhappiness in a job that they would normally enjoy if the financial pressures weren’t there.

Randy, I really appreciate this blog because not many MLM leaders live by this philosophy and some even poo-poo being an employee which is a shame. Some employees love what they do but maybe the money isn’t there and MLM is the only hope they have to increase their income. It doesn’t mean that they should leave their job to do MLM only or that they are a loser if they don’t take that big risk of taking it on full time from the beginning.
It takes time to learn the basics in MLM and to earn a consistent income and I have seen so many people hurt themselves financially when they leave their full time jobs too early. The sad thing is accruing debt in MLM is one of the big reasons why people leave MLM… and why this profession gets a bad reputation. It kills the true essence of why we join this profession in the first place…
I absolutely trust and respect you because you always walk your talk and have the integrity I always sought after in leaders in MLM. Thank you again for this blog.

Wonderful point you make here.
Try not to look at the world through your own set of glasses. Some people love their day jobs; not everybody wants to fire their boss. If you provide a valuable service that helps to free others and enjoy doing so there’s no reason to ditch your day job while engaging in network marketing.
When new to NM I derided the whole 9-5 crew. Now I know better. Some enjoy how they make a living and want to work their MLM part type. If it makes you happy more power to you.
The goal is to be free. The vehicle through which the freedom is experienced isn’t nearly as important as the feeling of being free.

Randy this message is as authentic as it gets. It goes right to my soul! To be able to do MLM, and still align with what one loves to do is refreshing to hear. Wow, this is powerful and freeing. I GOT it!
I have always interpreted that I had to do it full time, or a certain way or not at all, and everything else outside of MLM is not of importance. To me MLM is a vehicle, and I do love the MLM concept. I do believe wholeheartedly that it is one of the most rewarding entrepreneurial system’s that will allow me to live the type of lifestyle I want and still choose to do my other projects and works. Randy, knowing that MLM can be a segment of my whole is exhilarating.
I may sound a bit emotional, but to me it is the ‘Knowing’ and the Clarity that stands out for me. You have a way of simplifying things, and is so much appreciated. I feel free and I just contacted my upline Sponsor to discuss some things.

In my younger years I chose a career in Cosmetology (after graduating High School). I thought that my career choice was made and I really enjoyed doing hair. Then one day I saw a “Computer” and then the very first “Macintosh”, and I was hooked. I became a graphic designer and part time photographer, produced several magazines, loved my job and thought my career path was firm. Then one day I got a call that a new hotel was being built in Las Vegas and did I want to start the “Photography” services departments for the hotel. At that time, the Venetian needed someone who could manage, direct, and build several departments. I took that position, built the departments, then thought, I love Photography as a hobby, and didn’t want that to be my career so I quit. Then, one day I found that writing and communication was even more enjoyable and a rewarding career, so I went down that road and never looked back.
I am not a sales person per se, more of a behind the scenes person, a multi-tasker. I am very happy I made several decisions in my career path rather than going down the same road. For me, money was never a motivator, but just finding “me” in all of it.
I am going to be a success with my art
