Two Truths You Must Know
So we had some great comments on yesterday’s post on developing your skills. A couple more important things for you to consider:
#1) You can’t look good and get better at the same time.
The way to do great invitations (or anything else) is to do good ones first. And the way to do good ones, is to do bad ones first. The person that makes the most invitations will always win out.
#2) Your past does not have to determine your future.
That’s what amateurs think. But professionals know they can grow and change, and that skill sets can be developed. Write this down and post it on your computer:
Don’t let who you have been interfere with who you can become!

P.S. And a great place to start developing your skills is my free MLM Mastery e-course. If you haven’t gone through it already, sign up here:
One of the biggest mistakes people make is listening to someone speak who has gone through the Bad/Better/Good and now GREAT stage and think that they can’t do it.
There is a tendency to think that the person started off great, and that is most often NOT TRUE.
Just like we didn’t see Michael Jordan missing most every shot he took at the basket, we don’t see the growing/developing process of those success in our profession.
Have confidence that you will develop that skill, just like you can develop any muscle.
It’s just Practice, Drill, Rehearse!
EXPECT Success!

You can learn to be a good inviter, before you get out there and screw it all up.
There are programs that specifically address those issues. I know you know who I’m referring to.

I love this statement:
“Ignorance on Fire is better than Intelligence on Ice.” Sometimes we can get too smart for our own good!
Neophytes serendipity explains it all!
Thanks for all you do, Randy!

P.S. The last four letters in enthusIASM stand for I. A.m S.old M.yself. If you are passionate about your products and opportunity others will want what you’re having!
Hi Randy,
Love the truth and you certainly speak it. I know I have been growing and changing for years now. I have been following you for a number of years and watched you grow and change too! You would think that after all this time that I would be as wildly successful as you. Yet I am not discouraged as I know it is on its way. The reason being I have/am continuously developing my skills. It has to happen. Finally I find the company with integrity, the support I need, the product that actually works and helps people, the comp plan, now I feel true in my calling. Much appreciation for all you have given me. Always a fan. Just had to say it.
Thanks! And glad you’re on your way.

Hello Randy, its worth mentioning that, inviting can be done online via video conferencing, more people more efficiently and at less cost!
Online recruiting… Love it!
More pitchs and more practice, speeds up that learning curve.
Randy,
I usually read end enjoy but this time I feel the need to share. Until I learned the skills of inviting and presenting, I was starting to believe that success was an innate characteristic that I didn’t posess. This also started me to succumb to the belief past is going to equal to the future. Fortunately I wouldn’t relent and I found some excellent generic training that addressed those skills and my whole attitude and results changed almost overnight. Attitude + Technique!! The technique is CRITICAL!! Anyone can improve with the right knowledge.

“Looking GOOD.” is the solution sold everywhere for everything. You mean I have to be me first!?
Your past will always be your future if that is where you come from. Either come from a future of your choosing or your imagination, either one is more fun to live into that the same blast from the past.
Yes Sir!!!
#1) You can’t look good and get better at the same time.
#2) Your past does not have to determine your future
I can feel the shift in my beliefs. When the student is ready the right teacher shows up.
I am ready.

Randy:
I would like to know the process by which you change you negative programming. In the previous posts, You told us that you were broke(you owed $50,000) and the IRS took your business. Since you had time, you started to listen to personal development tapes. Which ones?
O.K. you were introduced to big “A” and you didn’t do anything in it.
I am interested in finding out how you change your mind from been broke and living in your car and 10?? years later been a success in NM.
How and Who did you approach people at first? Who did the presentations? How did you created stability in your business?Did you find people who did not have limiting beliefs to join your business?
I will be talking about some of these things in future posts. But you should definitely read my book, “How to Build a Multi-Level Machine.”
