Power Presenting
I’ve scheduled the next generic Tele-Seminar and the topic is one that’s very important in our profession: presenting. Or more specifically, creating “killer” presentations. The program is free, but you must pre-register to ensure a line. You can do that by clicking here.
In the meantime, please post any specific questions or areas you would like to see addressed and I will work in as many as possible. Please make sure they relate to the topic of making powerful presentations.

Look forward to this. One of the things that I fear is presenting.
The biggest obsacle is usually that a presenter will tell us how easy it is to grow. Just get your 4 motivated Builders, who get their 4, who get their 4…
The question is now: Where or HOW do I get MY 4?
Just keep Recruiting
Hello Randy:
I just wanted to tell you that your tele-seminars are great and just have one question: I work nights and at 10 PM EST I am already at work, is there any way that you can record them so that people like myself who work the night shift can have time to listen to them the following day? Thank you.
Hi Randy,
I’m from Malaysia. I have a similar problem too due to the different time zones. I’m probably in the office in the morning during your tele-seminars.
Is it possible to record your tele-seminars in MP3 format so that we can download them later.
Sorry this one is just live call. We’re looking at a web based stuff for the future.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge
I give a good presentation, it is very clear and presice however, the closing partis challanging. would like to learn the punch line that will help people recognize the opportunity and join our team
Love your stuff, Randy. Thanks.
I hope you’ll include something about short, casual presentations that can happen anywhere, and tips for average people to feel confident and ‘normal’ while presenting their product/opportunity, either one-on-one or to a few; co-workers for example.
I usually tell them during the “First Look Presentation” that we don’t do the “sharing approach”, or “try to convince your friends” approach before proceeding to “Is this something you like to explore further?”.
Here is where the prospects hesitate by saying something like:
a. It is not as easy as it sounds, I’ve tried “sharing” and “convincing” my friends before.
b. No need to sell? That means you are doing the “pro-sumer” approach. ie. buy up stock for personal consumption.
Everyone is doing the “sharing” approach and prospects just see our opportunity as a variation of it.
How do you make it all about the prospect when you are presenting to a larger group. It’s easy to identify the prospects pain during a one on one presentation but how do you do it in a larger setting?
We use something similar to this as a cold call introduction. We would love to get your comments – good or bad?
“Hi I am xxx from Australia. My husband and I are expanding our global buiness into (name of country) where our partners who are visiting there soon will be discussing our business option with those who want to investigate forming an alliance with us. Are you interested to explore the possibilities?…”
Hi Randy,
Here are some questions I get or leaders on my team get about PRESENTATIONS . . .
1. Which generic presentation TOOL is best to use to orient my prospect to the MLM business model? (Escape the Rat Race? Brilliant Compensation? DVD or CD? Business is Booming CD? Richard Brooke’s “Four Year Career” CD? Kiyosaki’s “The Perfect Business” CD? (which I don’t like because it’s from a smart, successful bestselling author who did NOT do network marketing himself), David Bach’s “Start Smart Finish Rich” CD? Bob Proctor’s “What Would You Change If Your Annual Income… Suddenly Became Your Monthly Income?” CD? Mark Yarnell’s http://www.15YearsLeft.com audio online recorded message?)
2. Is an AUDIO or VIDEO tool better to use to quell their “Pyramid Deal” unvoiced objection? OR, should I just use a PRINTED tool – Magalog, generic tool like the Trump/Kiyosaki SUCCESS magazine reprint/excerpt “Why we recommend Network Marketing” page 12 ?)
3. OR, what about a BOOK? (Richard Brooke’s “MailBox Money” or Jordan Adler’s “Beach Money”?) Will prospects even READ a BOOK?
4. Why should I use a GENERIC Tool, when my company has a replicated site that’s got the pay plan and all the other info about our company right there ON it already?
5. When does my “Invitation to take a LOOK” shift to a “Presentation?” How MUCH info should I share early on? How much is TOO much? How much is NOT enough? What’s most likely to arouse my prospect’s curiosity enough for them to ASK for MORE info?
6. Then, what’s NEXT in my presentation STEP plan? My company’s website? A company Conference Call? Trying my company’s PRODUCT (if it’s samplable)?
Thanks
Being concerned about presenting means that you are thinkling more about yourself than the prospect! Not good.
You are just looking for the right person, this is a show and tell business not a convince and sell business. Just go out and collect “No’s”…..
Know when to say “You know, what this is not for you”
You will know when you have the right person.
Understand the message and the method and you will not go far wrong!
Hi Randy,
Great topic for the call. I use the 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 presentation that i learned from your “Duplication Nation” program and i’ve had better results in my local business.
I wanted you to cover how could this presentation work in a 3 way call because i recruit a lot long distance and i think it would be a great way to help my new distributors who are not close to me.
How do you do a presentation on the phone for your prospects and how do you do it on a 3 way call for your new distributors prospects.
Thank you in advance
Theodore from Greece
My presentation challenge would be more to get them to come to the presentation.
Carole
My challenge is to get them interested in coming to the presentations. I have tried different ways – very professional and simply but people is not interested. How to make them see the opportunity?
I agree, I have a challenge getting people to come to the presentation.
My partners and i would like to have more people come to the presentations. Currently, even though we do one-on-one inviting and they seem VERY interested at the time, we get a lot of no-shows
Thanks!
Kat
When handing out samples for people to taste, i have noticed that all attention goes to the sample… what do you suggest filling the audio space with during that time since we have limited visual attention??
thanks,
Kat
I’d love to know your opinion on different types of presentation scenerios & if you’d differ your method- or do the same thing for each one.
1) Hotel meetings where you’ve got a mix of prospects & reps
2) Small home meetings where you’ve got 1 rep & approx 5 prospects
3) Large home/business meetings where you’ve got the opportunity to present the business to a room of 20+ prospects at one time
Would you speak to closing and painting a vision.
We talk about how easy it is to get our 4, then to help them get their 4, and so on and so on. The question, Where or HOW do we get OUR 4 key people without sounding so desperate.
I am a Therapist with a product that a lot of my Patients use, and I tell them how they can get them for FREE. Some are very interested, excited or curious to hear that, but as soon As I MENTION THE BUSINESS OR network marketing, they runnnnn.
Could you list from your perspective the benefits and disadvantages between online and personal presentations in homes and hotels? Also, give the basic differences necessary for each in order to have a great presentation.
Thanks!
I think it has to be known that one cannot “make” someone listen or get the concept of our business. Randy has said before to pre-screen your prospects to see if they are a fit into MLM. This has to be first and foremost. However, with that said, many MLM companies encourage you to bring your friends, family, neighbors, etc. and then use their “top sellers” to tell you “see, it worked for me”! Randy’s efforts in this area, hopefully reaching to the corp execs of MLM are spot on.
OK, my concern. How does one present the opportunity with less emphasis on the product but still maintaining the integrity of the product?
What do you feel is the maximum length of time a large group business meeting should be? One hour, 90 minutes, two hours or less?
What forms of technology do you recommend to utilize in a large group (hotel) business meeting, if any?
Hello Randy:
Totally enjoy your posts, CD’s etc. As far as presenting goes, my issue is cold calling on a place of business. Let’s say you notice a massage therapist business, day spa or whatever. You walk in and you say ???? Do you take info with you or do you leave it in your car to retrieve later?
Thanks Randy.
In the website above you will find the system that I use which is Brilliant compensation then the Discovery channel video and then origins and destiny. These are 3 different videos. They are good online but when I am off line I have to pop in 3 different videos at a time. It feels like its too much. How can I put a full presentation together that covers what and how network marketing works like brilliant compensation does and then go into the product and company all in 30 to 40 minutes. Usually 30 mins for brilliant compensation then 20 min for discovery channel, then 10 min for origins and destiny is what it takes me. Also what is a good presentation to give people first after you have there attention and they want to know what you do. Some people are thinking that brilliant compensation is to long and kinda boring. I don’t think so but others do. Also what do I say when people ask me what do I do? I don’t like to say Network marketing even though I know how it works and know it works. I don’t like to say it because most people are uneducated about the subject and get turned off really quick but because of my posture and glow so to speak that I have, everybody always wants to know what do I do? what do I say? Also I don’t like mentioning my company because I don’t know if they have heard of it before and had a bad experience or heard from somebody with a bad experience and then they will relate that with my company. So what should I say about what do I do? I’m looking for something that can pique there interest at the same time be discrete enough for them not to know its network marketing just yet and not know about my company. You did say in one of your programs that not to tell them anything unless you can tell them everything how do you do that when people are always asking you, what do you do? or even telling you I want to do what you do, what is it? After I tell them network marketing they get turned off because there uneducated about the subject and there basis there opinion on somebody else experience or basing it from there bad experience. Any suggestions?
So I give this awesome presentation to a room of 100+ people. Of course I’m thinking well out of 100 people maybe 10-20 may sign up. But, to my surprise, 47 out of 100 sign up. My question…how does one person conduct orientation and training for several people who decide to sign up for your opportunity?
Hey Randy,
I’m am in the process of creating a presentation for my opportunity and would really appreciate your recommendations regarding format or process of presentations. That is, from “I’d like to thank you all for coming out tonight” to “Good night and drive safe everyone”.
Thanks Randy!
hola quisiera saber si podemos traducir al hebreo la revolucion del mlm
gracias
How do I do a powerful presentation using a third party tool without sucking the oxygen out of the room? In a previous network marketing company I was really good at giving presentations but the people on my team were not and they did not want to give presentations.
I want to use a third party tool so that they can see how simple it is but how do you do that AND make it a powerful presentation?
Randy,
In duplication University there was a reference that it is not what anyone particularly does or does not do that causes someone to join our business. I get that. It takes the pressure of of someone and gets them talking. However, I also understand that if you can’t serve the ball into play, you can’t earn any points So where does the truth lie?
Houses are quite expensive and not everyone can buy it. But, loan are created to help people in such kind of situations.
