Creating Your Success

“Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit.”
–    Luke 12:35

Okay so I don’t often start with a Bible verse.  Okay so actually I’ve never started with a Bible verse.  But I thought it was appropriate for today’s topic:  creating success.

To create success, you have to make the present moment the point of action in your life.  Not later, not when you’re ready, not when it’s perfect.  The perfect time is now, because you can never say the wrong thing to the right person.

Do you really get that?

Why postpone your success when you can start creating it now?  Do your self-development each morning.  Dress sharp.  Carry some prospect packs with you, and go out and do life!

You up for that?

  1. Great post Randy, there are lots of good inspirational quotes in the Bible. It’s an often overlooked source of business inspiration. On the subject of dressing for success, even though I work from home, I dress in nice attire. I never know when someone local might want to meet for lunch or coffee. Also it makes me feel like I am in business and motivates me to work rather than lounge around the house.

  2. Okay cut to the chase! lol I like your direct approach.

And what you said is so important – you can’t say the wrong thing to the right person. So don’t wait for the perfect moment just get out and do it.

  3. I am constantly saying that line to my team! -you can’t say the wrong thing to the right person! I learned this early: My first prospect became my first distributor two weeks after I showed her our service, even though I was a bumbling idiot and didn’t have half the answers to her questions!
