Are You Really Doing the Business?
So we’ve said that to do the business seriously requires ten to 15 hours a week. But here’s the catch…
That means really working, talking to prospects, getting them to presentations, and following up. Al the “busywork” doesn’t count.
And we know the best times for the business are evenings during the week. So by the time I post this it will be Thursday or even Friday for most of you.
So how did you do this week?

Hi Randy. Glad you asked. I’m using a tool to guide me. It’s a program where i’m logging my activities and giving them a score depending on how it bringa me closer to my goal. Talking to à prospect gives 1 point. Educating a new downline score 5 point. When I’m scoring 60 or more per week I’m on track. I can recomend the program. It’s free to use. Have a perfect day!
I would like to see it
I score myself by simple statistics, but be always ready to learn more
Thanks in advance
Greg
Hi Iwan
Gauges are a great way to track whether we are on track or off track. You refer to a program you are using – where do i find it?
Thanks
Kim 🙂
Send me an email and I will send you the info.
would like to hook up with the trakinf application
Hi Iwan,
Please send me the program you are using to score your activity to build network marketing business. Thanks.
very good.
I have almost a similar program for it. But do you mind if I asked for the file that you use to put all the scores? May I have it…
Thanks
What is the name of the software? 🙂
Great plan! Does anyone know where I can get a copy of this scoring plan…I could really use it and I would love to share it with my team. I am prone to busy work…something I have included in my “New Year’s Resolutions” to change!
Thanks!
Pleas email to me the program, I need it badly. Thanks
Hi Iwan,
This is fantastic. Congratulations on your focus and commitment to tracking the progress of your business. Can you please forward me info on this product.
I use paper and note books to track these things now and would love to use some software where I can manage it more effectively.
Thanks again.
Make it a great day!
God Bless,

I use something similar but it is only a sheet. I would love if you could give the name of the program and where to get hold of it.
plz send me the info on: meitham_leibe@yahoo.com
or let me know plz about the program how I can get it.
I would be very interested in this program
Hi Iwan,
It seems your tool is very good. Can you forward it to me?

Hi Randy!
This is a veri important issue. I shared the same idea last week with my team. Specially those who work full time fall into the trap of ”busywork”. What I did to overcome this issue was that I followed up the number of presentations and prospects meetings with every leader of my organization to magnify the difference between busywork and real work. By know we have seen some good results.
Thanks
Yours
Meitham
We always say that Gold (or Diamond etc) is an Activity Level not a pin. We track our activity and we know the results will come .. but we know there’s a time lag between activity and progress .. so we’re patient
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are business building evenings for me. Wednesday is my prosperity evening 🙂 Friday evening is family, and Saturdays and Sundays are organizing self and family days.
I used to work every evening but nearly killed myself so I stopped!
Looking forward to seeing you in Rome Randy.
I’ve just experienced the least consistent & most totally unorganized 4 months of my life. Happy to say the new year is much more on track – I know that consistency is the key to our success. Thanks RG
Set a goal of 30 exposures from Sunday till Friday morning
Results till now: 22 done, 3 PBR’s, 1 enrollement, 1 ABB
Doing 20 hours/week real bussines and additional 6 hours self development,(reading, compiling the 2010 work plan, and Gym).
By the way, lot of thanks for everything
No Randy, I didn’t do anything this week.
I am in UK Now, did a lot of planning and communication and will be going to action from now.
I need to be more systematic and use my time wisely.
Thanks.
Hi Randy
Tanks for every think.
We have a system in place that keeps our team accountable. I can see the step by step tasks that each team member has completed or not and remind them, if needed, that they need to complete at least one task per week to see any results.
And to get prospects looking at their business and following up with them. It has really kept everyone accountable. Thanks for all the great insights Randy.
This is a great eye opener. I would say that looking back at the previous year and my first year in Network Marketing to be honest I did not treat it as a “business” but rather like and experience to learn and grow through. I am currently re-focusing myself to now taking it as a serious business and moving forward. So last year I would say that I scored 2 – 3 / 10 most weeks. My goal for this year is to reach a point of constant 8 / 10 or higher. Thanks for your continued support and encouragement to make it happen. You are a great role model and mentor for us all. God Bless!
LOL…there is no hope for me! All this systematic stuff just leaves me completely baffled. I leave it up to the professionals and just plug my contact info into the little places provided.
However, if you’re talking to me, the conversation WILL take a turn toward what I do, and you will be invited to participate on some level. And, yes, I talk to EVERYBODY.
Are You Really Doing the Business?

HI Randy,
I find using my diary really helps, I block out times for presentations to prospects etc and then set about filling in the blanks. I find it helps me to focus. I have 3 kids so I am also a bit of a nooks and crannies person. I make calls in between dropping kids and making dinner…..by the way I have only recently subscribed to this and find it really helpful and useful. Thanks so much for your insight. Maybe sometime you could do something on belief and how to just believe things will happen. Thanks again. Orla
Anything that produces activity that has the potential to produce income is tracked by me. I have used many different programs that assisted but often created as much havoc as income activity. I now use outlook, a notepad and create a daily schedule with personal goals, commitments and promises for each day and each hour. IF I were being paid for my time I would have the same schedules. I know how many dials it takes to talk to someone. I know how many people I talk with to find someone interested in looking. The number looking is both follow up and again the numbers are some will be ready and many will go back into the pond. I love catch and release.
Some people have one big ‘funnel.’ I have different ponds and after listening to you I have had to build a new one. In sales I could live out of the ‘qualified prospect’ pond and live well. That pond is not selective enough for network marketing and my program. Too many prospects, in retrospect, were not ready to look or I wasn’t ready to deal with their stuff or both. Your and Billy Looper’s story had me build the pond [let’s call it Golden] where the intention is to grow relationships I and they can call and say… I just found the perfect company. Give me your credit card number. It’s $1000. That’s who I want to work with. That’s who I am.
3 meetings so far!!!!
I have two little kids and it was always for me a very cosy exuse. I worked from time to time when children “allowed” me. But now I simply write down every evening what I have done during the day and compare it with my plan. I do it not because of children but FOR my kids. I have just found the reason why should I work and build my team. Thats why I think there are no lasy or unorganised people, there people who have not found the real reason to work yet.
Yes, that´s the point. Busywork!
I just spent only two or three hour this week for prospecting and doing presentations.
That´s why I am not Diamond Status until now.
Best regards
Volker
I had got a desire to begin my business, however I did not have enough of money to do it. Thank God my fellow said to take the loans. Thence I received the financial loan and realized my dream.
