Warm Market Recruiting Tool – The Second Component of Duplication
Thanks for all of you that participated on the Tele-Seminar the other night. And I see a lot of you posted questions. I will get to as many as I can in future posts. For now I want to get back to our series on the six components of duplication.
If you remember, last time we discussed the Mass Market Recruiting tool. The second component is a tool that facilitates the sponsoring process for use with the warm market—meaning the people you have relationships with. So this would be used with friends, neighbors, and relatives. The result you are seeking is the best possible duplication.
In some companies this tool may be the same as the mass market tool. In my company it is a different one, because we use home meetings as the first step in the process for warm market candidates. So we created a DVD that is a “plug and play” presentation for this purpose.
The logic behind this is as follows: While a casual acquaintance is more likely to review a tool than attend a meeting, someone you know well is just the opposite. They don’t want to review the tool, because they’d rather have you just explain what it is all about. They often want to bombard you with questions on the spot. But that will slow down duplication. So, in my opinion, it’s better to ask them to attend a meeting, with the idea that the meeting will be able to explain things you can’t.
Then if you have some kind of a tool that can be used for the presentation, this ensures the maximum duplication, because it is not contingent on your skill level, experience or earnings. It could be a PowerPoint, online presentation, flipchart, DVD, or something else. But what you need is some kind of tool that takes a candidate through the presentation, which your team can use with their warm market.

At first when we joined, we did not have any tools to work with and therefore had to develop leadership skills and learn how to present. For me it is was a blessing since i discovered skills I did not know I have within me (personal development). Today, we have the tools, thanks to our amazing leaders, so it is much easier to duplicate even for those who can not see themselves presenting the oppoortunity and products “live”. Duplication is much easier, since we are only the messanger and not the message!
