The Myths of Recruiting
One of the biggest mistakes people make in recruiting is looking for “heavy hitters.” Another one is thinking they will sponsor MLM leaders. More likely, you will grow them from within.
Many people think it’s a sales business, but it’s actually a teaching business. So that takes a different recruiting approach then looking for sellers. There are a lot of myths like these that cause people to struggle.
I’ll be blowing them up this evening, when I conduct a special webinar on recruiting for Networking Times magazine. There is no charge, but you must register with them to gain access. You can find all the details here.
Hope to see you on there tonight!

I get the feeling that the reason everyone wants to find the so called “Heavy Hitters” is so they can retire early.
My question is if less than 5% of network marketers actually make it to the top of their companies, doesn’t that create a lot of competition? My next question is, how do you find those heavy hitters in the first place? Do you take out an ad saying that only those with experience need apply?
I have to agree that teaching others is the way to do it.

I agree with Amy – and of course Randy. There is NO way of knowing where to find heavy hitters and those fantasizing about doing so think they can get in and out FAST. They have the same mindset as a lottery player.
Sponsor whoever is interested, shows promise and desire. Let the cream come to the top and teach them what they need to succeed. It IS a teaching and relationship business.
