Getting Traction in the Marketplace

A while back I started telling people that a big part of our message needed to be “safe is the new risky.”  And it has really had some traction.

I have seen this with my own group in a big way.  I have also seen it by the web traffic to the generic videos and postings I have done on the subject.

People are running very scared right now.  They are watching the TV news, reading the newspapers, and buying into the bullshit to hunker down and hide.  They think that is safe.  And that is about the riskiest thing they could do right now.

NOW is the time to be bold, to take action, to open a business.  Now is the time to offer people escape from the corporate world.  Now is the time to offer people real financial freedom, not the Ponzi schemes of government bailouts with printing press money.

So how are you doing on this?  Is your team out there with passion and purpose getting this message out now?

  1. Your are right Randy, this IS a great time to start a business in network marketing. I’d be interested to know how different parts of the country react to our industry and the opportunity we provide. I live in MA and have exhibited a 3 national career fairs in Boston. The place was jammed all 3 times. The last 2 shows were mostly insurance firms, financial planner firms and network marketing – all sales & commission based opportunities. People gravititated mostly to the corporate style firms and not that many came to the network marketing booths. By far, the majority of the people were looking for “jobs” not home based business or a commission position. It was a timley show because the articel in USA Today in direct sales had just run and I had copies for people to read. I did get 14 resumes from the most recent show – last week – and so far 7 are very interested and have taken two looks. I did learn from talking with people in the crowd that it wasn’t network marketing that turned them off, it was a sales position. They want to be paid a set amount of money, get benefits and do a job. It’s too bad that people can’t understand that it was their “job” that put them in their present economic situation and going back to another “job” isn’t going to make things better long term.
